RMKS/1.  This NAVADMIN announces requirements and solicits enlisted 
applications for assignment to Naval Special Warfare Development Group 
(NSWDG).  Applications are accepted 13 to 23 months prior to the applicant's 
Projected Rotation Date (PRD).  Official selection results will be available 
30 days after an applicant completes a weeklong in-person assessment and 
selection.  Personnel selected will detach from their present command at 
their PRD unless approved to detach earlier with present chain of command and 
detailer concurrence. 
 
2.  Development Group is seeking E-3/E-4 applications for the following Navy 
ratings:  BU, CM, EO, IT, LS, YN. 
     a.  We are seeking E-5/E-6/E-7 applications for the following Navy 
ratings:  AD, AE, AG, AM, AO, AT, AW, BM, BU, CE, CM, CTI, CTM, CTR, CTT, 
CWT, DC, EA, EM, EN, EO, ET, FC, GM, HM, IC, IS, IT,  LN, LS, MA, MC, MM, NC, 
ND, OS, PR, PS, RP, SW, UT, YN. 
     b.  Critical fill E-5 Navy ratings:  BU, CE, CM, CTR, CTT, EN, ET, GM, 
HM, IT, LS, RP, SW, YN. 
c.  Previous NSW experience is not a requirement to apply. 
 
3.  NSWDG is a special duty assignment, Chief of Naval Operations Priority 
One major command that develops advanced Naval Special Warfare tactics, 
techniques, procedures, and equipment and supports a classified National 
mission.  Each member goes through an extensive assessment and selection 
process and are among the top performers in the Navy.  Due to NSWDG's in-
depth selection process, the advancement and retention rates are above Navy 
averages. 
Applicants must meet the requirements listed below to even be considered for 
duty at NSWDG (waivers are not normally considered). 
     a.  Volunteer - 48 month obligation. 
    b.  Physically fit - no medical conditions that prevent physical 
training activity. 
     c.  No non-judicial punishment or civil offenses in the last three 
years. 
     d.  No alcohol-related incidents (civil or military) in the last 
36 months. 
     e.  Top performer and recommended by current chain of command. 
     f.  Able to meet security requirements for Top Secret clearance and be a 
US citizen. 
     g.  No financial instability/command directed counseling in the last 36 
months.  Applicants must be eligible for a government credit card. 
     h.  Must be Active Duty United States Navy.  Training and Administration 
of the Reserve applicants are not eligible to apply. 
 
4.  Interested candidates meeting the above requirements must first contact 
the NSWDG Recruiter at NSWDG-RECRUITING@socom.mil to request an 
application.  When submitting applications candidates must also provide: 
    a.  Last five years of Evaluations (EVALs) to include any Letter 
Extensions, Special EVALs, etc. 
    b.  Physical Readiness Information Management System SUMMARY showing 
individual score breakouts.  Run/walk cardio modality required.  If run/walk 
was not the cardio modality on last Physical Fitness Assessment (PFA) a mock 
PFA is required. 
    c.  Completed recommendation form from current Division Officer or 
Leading Chief Petty Officer (form provided by NSWDG). 
    d.  Common application errors include:  Lack of detailed contact 
information and Sailors waiting to be in PRD window to contact an NSWDG 
recruiter.  Contact the NSWDG recruiters at least 13 months prior to PRD. 
 
5.  Application requests may be sent via e-mail to NSWDG- 
RECRUITING@socom.mil. 
 
6.  The medical record of the applicant will be reviewed during the 
application process. 
 
7.  Interviews are conducted at Virginia Beach, VA on a monthly basis. 
 
8.  Those individuals not selected are released back to their rating detailer 
and afforded the opportunity to apply for orders through MyNavy Assignments.

10.  This NAVADMIN will remain in effect until superseded or canceled, 
whichever occurs first.
