RMKS/1. This NAVADMIN announces the support for Fleet participation and
attendance at Sea Service Affinity Group (SSAG) conferences and symposiums.

2. The Navy has a longstanding relationship with the SSAGs of our Nation,
the Association of Naval Services Officers (ANSO), the National Naval
Officers Association (NNOA) and the Sea Services Leadership Association
(SSLA). These affinity groups have a long and storied history of cultivating
and preparing our Sailors to achieve great success during their naval careers
through mentorship and leadership development opportunities, including
regional and national conferences and symposiums.

3. Participation and attendance at the SSAG national events is
encouraged. Senior Navy leaders and others will be present to engage our
Sailors on issues facing the Fleet.

4. Limited registration funding for these events is centrally available from
the Career Management Branch (PERS-443C) and can be contacted via e-mail at
pers-443.fct@navy.mil. Subject to the procedures outlined in references
(a) and (b), pertaining to conference attendance, local commanders are
encouraged to promote attendance at local SSAG events and use available
temporary assigned duty funding to facilitate travel to non-local SSAG
events.

5. SSAG national conference dates and locations are as follows:
    a. ANSO Atlantic Region Symposium: 12-14 April 2022, Norfolk, VA.
    b. SSLA Joint Women Leadership Symposium: 10-12 July 2022,
Norfolk, VA.
    c. NNOA Annual Leadership, Professional Development and Training
Symposium: 26-29 July 2022, Annapolis, MD.

6. Coronavirus Disease 2019 Mitigation Measures. Travel to, from and during
the SSAG conferences and symposiums should comply with all Navy mitigation
measures as outline in reference (c).

7. For questions concerning affinity group event participation, contact 21st
Century Sailor Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (OPNAV N17)
via e-mail at altn_usn_inclusion_and_diversity@navy.mil.
