THE NAVY RESERVE IS SEEKING APPLICATIONS FROM HIGHLY QUALIFIED 
E-6 THROUGH E-9 PERSONNEL FOR THE FY-10 INACTIVE NAVY RESERVE LIMITED 
DUTY OFFICER (LDO) AND CHIEF WARRANT OFFICER (CWO) PROGRAMS.  
APPLICATIONS MUST BE RECEIVED NO LATER THAN 17 NOVEMBER
2008 AND ADDENDUMS TO APPLICATIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BY 15 DECEMBER 2008.  
THE INACTIVE-DUTY LDO/CWO BOARD WILL CONVENE FEBRUARY 2009.  
RESULTS WILL BE ANNOUNCED VIA NAVADMIN MARCH 2009.
2.  LIMITED DUTY OFFICERS PROVIDE BROAD TECHNICAL MANAGEMENT SKILLS AND 
CHIEF WARRANT OFFICERS PROVIDE SPECIFIC TECHNICAL EXPERTISE AND 
LEADERSHIP SKILLS IN SUPPORT OF THE UNRESTRICTED AND RESTRICTED LINE 
AND STAFF COMMUNITIES.
3.  TIME IN-SERVICE ELIGIBILITY FOR THE FY-10 BOARD IS CALCULATED TO
1 OCTOBER 2009.  COMMANDS SHOULD ENSURE COPIES OF THE MOST RECENT 
PERIODIC FITREP OR EVAL FOR THE APPLICANTS ARE SUBMITTED IN THE 
ORIGINAL APPLICATION OR IN AN ADDENDUM.  
4.  ELIGIBILE SAILORS ARE ENCOURAGED TO APPLY FOR THE DESIGNATOR FOR 
WHICH THEY ARE MOST QUALIFIED.  REFER TO OPNAVINST 1420.1A AND 
OPNAVINST 1120.12 FOR ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA AND APPLICATION FORMAT.
