RMKS/1.  THIS NAVADMIN PROVIDES ADDITIONAL GUIDANCE FOR THE NATIONAL NAVAL 
OFFICERS ASSOCIATION (NNOA) PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND  TRAINING CONFERENCE 
BEING HELD 23-27 JULY 2012 AT THE ROOSEVELT HOTEL NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA.

2.  OSD HAS GIVEN APPROVAL FOR NAVY TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 2012 NNOA 
CONFERENCE; GUIDANCE BELOW GOVERNS PARTICIPATION AND FUNDING FOR NAVY 
PERSONNEL.

3.  COMMANDING OFFICERS ARE AUTHORIZED TO SUPPORT ATTENDANCE.
COMMANDING OFFICERS MAY AUTHORIZE AND ISSUE TAD ORDERS, TO INCLUDE 
REGISTRATION, TRANSPORTATION, LODGING AND PER DIEM IAW REF A.  PER REF B, 
TRAVEL ORDERS AND ASSOCIATED CLAIMS MUST REFLECT WHEN THE REGISTRATION FEE 
INCLUDES CHARGES FOR MEALS AND THE DATES ON WHICH THE MEALS ARE FURNISHED.

4.  IN ORDER TO ACHIEVE THE MOST COST-EFFECTIVE TRANSPORTATION AVAILABLE, 
AGGREGATION OF CONVENTION TRANSPORTATION REQUIREMENTS IS ENCOURAGED.  USE OF 
NAVY OPERATIONAL SUPPORT AIRLIFT AND NAVY UNIQUE FLEET ESSENTIAL AIRCRAFT MAY 
BE REQUESTED, IAW REF C.

5.  PER REF D, SELECTED RESERVE PERSONNEL ARE AUTHORIZED TO  PARTICIPATE AT 
THE NNOA CONFERENCE IN A PAID DRILL STATUS.

6.  REGISTRATION, TRANSPORTATION, AND LODGING INFORMATION CAN BE FOUND ON THE 
NNOA WEBSITE AT WWW.NNOA.ORG.  CONFERENCE FEES ARE $350 FOR LIFE MEMBERS, $375 
FOR MEMBERS, AND $475 FOR NON-MEMBERS.

7.  THE CHIEF OF NAVAL PERSONNEL WILL FUND THE FIRST 100 JUNIOR OFFICERS 
(LIEUTENANT COMMANDER AND BELOW).  OFFICERS WHO ARE PLANNING TO ATTEND SHOULD 
REGISTER AS SOON AS POSSIBLE FOR THE CONFERENCE AND THE HOTEL TO ENSURE 
RESERVATIONS ARE AVAILABLE.
