RMKS/1.  THIS NAVADMIN ANNOUNCES NOMINATIONS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2011 COALITION OF 
SAILORS AGAINST DESTRUCTIVE DECISIONS (CSADD) SEA AND SHORE CHAPTER OF THE 
YEAR AWARDS.  THIS AWARD APPLIES TO ALL ACTIVE, RESERVE AND ROTC UNIT CSADD 
CHAPTERS.

2.  THE CSADD AWARD WAS ESTABLISHED TO RECOGNIZE THE POSITIVE SOCIAL 
INTERACTION, LEADERSHIP AND DECISION MAKING DEMONSTRATED THROUGH THE CSADD 
EFFORT, WHICH EMPLOYS A VARIETY OF COMMUNICATION TOOLS AND SOCIAL NETWORKING 
CREATED AND SUSTAINED BY THE CHAPTERS.  THE OVERALL OBJECTIVE IS TO FOSTER A 
CULTURE THAT SENDS A CLEAR MESSAGE DISCOURAGING DESTRUCTIVE DECISION MAKING 
AND REINFORCING THE SHIPMATE INTERVENTION CONCEPT.  ALL COMMANDS ARE HIGHLY 
ENCOURAGED TO NOMINATE THIS GROUP OF LEADERS WITHIN THEIR COMMANDS AND 
THROUGHOUT OUR NAVY.

3.  NOMINATIONS FOR CSADD SEA/SHORE CHAPTER OF THE YEAR AWARDS SHALL INCLUDE 
ONLY ACTIVITIES AND SUCCESSES THAT OCCURRED DURING FISCAL YEAR 2011.  
NOMINATIONS SHALL BE SUBMITTED BY THE UNIT COMMANDER OR DESIGNATED 
REPRESENTATIVE, WHO WILL FORWARD THE NOMINATION TO THE REGIONAL COMMANDER 
CSADD CHAPTER.  IF A COMMAND HAS NOT REGISTERED ITS CHAPTER, IT MUST DO SO, AS 
OUTLINED IN REF A, PRIOR TO SUBMITTING THE NOMINATION.  THE REGIONAL CHAPTER 
WILL COMPILE ALL NOMINATIONS FROM WITHIN ITS RESPECTIVE REGION, SELECT THE TOP 
SEA AND SHORE CHAPTER AND FORWARD THOSE PACKAGES WITH REGIONAL COMMANDER 
ENDORSEMENT, AS DEFINED IN PARA 4.

4.  ONE ORIGINAL AND ONE COPY OF THE NOMINATIONS ARE TO BE MAILED BY EACH UNIT 
TO ITS APPROPRIATE MAIN CHAPTER (REGIONAL COMMANDER) NLT 1 OCTOBER 2011.  MAIN 
CHAPTER SUBMISSIONS WILL BE MAILED DIRECTLY TO 2 NAVY ANNEX, WASHINGTON, DC 
20370.  ATTN:  YN1(AW) JUSTIN GRIFFITHS, NO LATER THAN 1 NOVEMBER 2011.  
NOMINATIONS RECEIVED AFTER 1 NOVEMBER 2011 WILL BE DISQUALIFIED.  ONE CHAPTER 
FROM SEA AND ONE FROM SHORE WILL BE SELECTED FROM AMONG THE SUBMISSIONS.
