OUR COMMITMENT TO LIVE BY THE PRINCIPLES HE ESPOUSED. ESTABLISHED BY
PUBLIC LAW 98-144, THIS HOLIDAY SERVES AS A TIME FOR ALL AMERICANS TO
REFLECT ON THE PRINCIPLES OF EQUALITY AND CIVIL RIGHTS THAT DR.
KING CHAMPIONED.
