FOR OFFICERS OF THE NAVY DEMONSTRATION SQUADRON (BLUE ANGELS)//

RMKS/1.  The commanding officer for the Blue Angels 2016-2017 air show 
seasons will be selected in April 2015.  Request Commander, Naval Air Forces, 
U.S. Pacific Fleet and Commander, Navy Personnel Command (PERS-433B) 
readdress this message to the appropriate subordinate commands.

2.  Interested officers should submit requests for consideration via their 
immediate reporting senior to Chief of Naval Air Training (CNATRA) (Attn:  
Flag Aide), 250 Lexington Blvd, Suite 102, Corpus Christi, TX 78419-5041 with 
info copies to Commanding Officer, Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron, 390 
San Carlos Rd, Suite A, Pensacola, FL 32508-5508, and PERS-433B. Letters of 
endorsement or recommendation from persons other than the reporting senior 
are encouraged and will be incorporated into applicant’s file.  Finalists 
will appear before a selection board composed of CNATRA, Director, Aviation 
Officer Assignment (PERS-43), former Blue Angels commanding officers and 
others to be held on 3-5 May 2015 at Naval Air Station Pensacola, FL.  Final 
selection will be made by Commander, Naval Air Forces.  Specific details will 
be sent via separate correspondence.

3.  Applications must be received by Friday, 6 March 2015.  Applicants must 
have 3,000 flight hours and be in command, or have had command, of a tactical 
jet squadron.  Letter of application should include experience, 
qualifications, complete biography and a completed CNATRA form 1331/1 (Navy 
Flight Demonstration Squadron (Blue Angels) Information Sheet), located in 
reference (a), which can be obtained through the CNATRA website, 
www.cnatra.navy.mil.  Questions may be directed to the Commanding Officer,
