RMKS/1. THIS NAVADMIN ANNOUNCES REQUIREMENTS AND SOLICITS ENLISTED
APPLICATIONS FOR THE NAVY FLIGHT DEMONSTRATION SQUADRON (BLUE ANGELS)
2009 SEASON. APPLICATIONS MUST BE POSTMARKED BEFORE 1 APR 08.
SELECTION RESULTS WILL BE AVAILABLE NLT JUN 08. PERSONNEL WITH A PRD
OF SEP 08 THROUGH APR 09 ARE ELIGIBLE, BUT OTHERS MAY APPLY WITH
COMMAND AND DETAILER APPROVAL. PERSONNEL SELECTED WILL NORMALLY
DETACH FROM THEIR PRESENT COMMAND IN OCT 08 AND REPORT IN NOV 08.
2. THERE ARE OPEN E5/E6 BILLETS WITHIN THE FOLLOWING RATINGS: AZ,
AD, AE, AT, AO, AME, AM, AS, PR, MC, SK, HM2 (NEC 8406) AND YN1
(PREFERABLY NEC 9588). OUTSTANDING THIRD CLASS PETTY OFFICERS WILL
BE CONSIDERED. FOR CHIEF PETTY OFFICERS, THERE ARE OPEN BILLETS IN
THE ADC (NEC 8342) AND AMC (NEC 8342) RATINGS. A NORMAL TOUR OF DUTY
WITH THE BLUE ANGELS IS THREE YEARS AND IS SEA DUTY (TYPE 2) FOR
ROTATIONAL PURPOSES.
3. PERSONNEL SELECTED FOR THIS UNIQUE AND DEMANDING DUTY REPRESENT
THE HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF SAILORS SERVING THROUGHOUT THE U.S. AND
ABROAD. APPLICANTS MUST MEET THE REQUIREMENTS LISTED BELOW TO BE
CONSIDERED FOR DUTY WITH THE BLUE ANGELS (WAIVERS ARE NOT NORMALLY
CONSIDERED):
A. MUST NOT BE IN RECEIPT OF PCS ORDERS BEFORE FINAL SELECTIONS
ARE MADE IN JUN 08.
B. NO NJP OR COURT MARTIAL CONVICTIONS IN LAST 36 MONTHS.
C. NO ALCOHOL-RELATED INCIDENTS (CIVIL OR MILITARY) IN LAST 36
MONTHS; DUI/DWI CONVICTIONS WITHIN LAST FIVE YEARS ARE DISQUALIFYING.
D. NO FINANCIAL INSTABILITY/COMMAND DIRECTED COUNSELING IN LAST
36 MONTHS; APPLICANTS MUST BE ELIGIBLE FOR A GOVERNMENT CREDIT CARD
(THIS IS NOT WAIVERABLE).
E. NO PRT/BODY FAT FAILURES IN LAST 36 MONTHS; PERSONNEL WHO
HAVE HAD MEDICAL WAIVERS IN THE LAST 24 MONTHS WILL BE CONSIDERED ON
A CASE-BY-CASE BASIS ONLY.
F. NO VISIBLE TATTOOS WHILE WEARING A SUMMER WHITE UNIFORM.
G. MUST POSSESS VALID AND CURRENT DRIVER'S LICENSE.
4. INTERESTED CANDIDATES MEETING THE ABOVE REQUIREMENTS MUST FIRST
SUBMIT A FULLY COMPLETED NAVPERS 1306/7 (ENLISTED PERSONNEL ACTION
REQUEST) AND 1306/92 (SPECIAL PROGRAM SCREENING FORM) TO THEIR
RESPECTIVE RATING DETAILER VIA THEIR COMMANDING OFFICER. AFTER
SUBMISSION OF NAVPERS 1306/7 TO THEIR DETAILER, APPLICANTS MUST
SUBMIT AN APPLICATION TO NFDS USING THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA (ENSURE
ALL TELEPHONE NUMBERS, MAILING ADDRESSES, AND E-MAIL ADDRESSES ARE
INCLUDED):
A. COMMANDING OFFICER'S ENDORSEMENT ON COMMAND LETTERHEAD IN
"FIRST ENDORSEMENT" FORMAT.
B. COPY OF NAVPERS 1306/7.
C. COMPLETE SPECIAL DUTY SCREENING IAW MILPERSMAN 1306-919.
D. INCLUDE COPIES OF LAST FIVE EVALUATIONS/FITNESS REPORTS.
E. PROVIDE OFFICIAL 5X7 INCH PHOTOGRAPH (FRONT, SIDE, BACK) IN
SUMMER WHITE UNIFORM (KHAKIS FOR E7-E9 APPLICANTS).
F. SUBMIT MEDICAL OFFICER'S CLEARANCE, DOCUMENTED ON SF600, FOR
REMOTE/ARDUOUS DUTY.
NOTE: COMMON APPLICATION ERRORS INCLUDE LACK OF DETAILED CONTACT
INFORMATION, UNSIGNED NAVPERS 1306/7 AND 1306/92, NO COMMANDING
OFFICER ENDORSEMENT, MISSING EVALUATIONS, PHOTOS NOT INCLUDED AND
PACKAGES SENT TO DETAILER RATHER THAN NFDS.

VERIFY RECEIPT AND TO SCHEDULE AN INTERVIEW. ALL PERSONNEL CURRENTLY
