RMKS/1.  THIS NAVADMIN ANNOUNCES THE NAVY MILITARY EQUAL OPPORTUNITY
 (MEO) PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT TRAINING SUMMIT.  THIS TRAINING WILL  BE HELD 
AT THE VISTA POINT CENTER, NORFOLK, VA FROM 15-16 APRIL 2014.  THIS IS A  
MANDATORY TRAINING REQUIREMENT FOR EQUAL OPPORTUNITY ADVISORS (EOAS) AND  
ECHELON II EQUAL OPPORTUNITY (EO) PROGRAM MANAGERS.  COMMAND MANAGED EQUAL  
OPPORTUNITY
(CMEO) PROGRAM MANAGERS ARE HIGHLY ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND.  NO  REGISTRATION 
FEES WILL BE ASSESSED.

2.  ONE OF THE RESOURCES AVAILABLE TO COMMANDING OFFICERS IN CREATING  A 
CLIMATE OF INCLUSION IS THE CMEO PROGRAM MANAGER.  WITH INCREASED  EMPHASIS 
BEING PLACED ON COMMAND CLIMATE, THE NAVY SEXUAL HARASSMENT (SH)  PREVENTION 
AND EO OFFICE WILL PROVIDE TAILORED TRAINING TO YOUR MEO PROGRAM  MANAGERS.

3.  THIS DEDICATED TRAINING WILL PROVIDE A BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF  THE CMEO 
PROGRAM MANAGER AND EOA ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES, INCLUDING  EFFECTIVE AND 
TIMELY ADMINISTRATION OF THE COMMAND CLIMATE ASSESSMENT.
 ADDITIONALLY,
TRAINING WILL BE PROVIDED ON THE MILITARY EQUAL OPPORTUNITY NETWORK
 (MEONET)
AND EO/SH COMPLAINT PROCESSING.  SINCE TRAINING WILL ALSO INCLUDE  SMALL 
GROUP "HANDS-ON" COMMAND CLIMATE ASSESSMENT EXERCISES, THIS TRAINING IS  BEST 
DELIVERED FACE-TO-FACE.

4.  THIS PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT TRAINING WILL SATISFY THE  REQUIREMENT IN 
REF (A) FOR EOAS TO RECEIVE ANNUAL FOLLOW-ON TRAINING TO ENSURE  COMPETENCY 
IN THE MEO FIELD.  THIS TRAINING IS CONSIDERED MISSION ESSENTIAL AND IS  FLAG 
OFFICER APPROVED.
