RMKS/1. This NAVADMIN announces the Fiscal Year (FY) 2026 Permanent Military
Professor (PMP) selection board for officers reporting to graduate school in
August 2026. The FY26 PMP selection board may select up to 12 PMPs from a
pool of eligible Active Duty and Training and Administration of the Reserves
officer applicants for assignment to the United States Naval Academy (USNA),
Naval War College (NAVWARCOL), or Naval Postgraduate School (NPS). Selected
applicants must be released by their current community and must be eligible
to fill a billet in the rank of Commander (CDR) or be a Lieutenant Commander
selected for promotion to CDR.
2. Reference (a) provides specific application and eligibility guidance.
Applications are due to the Out-Service Education Placement and Special
Fellowships Division (PERS-443), no later than
30 May 2025. Submit via encrypted transmission on the DoD SAFE website at:
https://safe.apps.mil/ to PERS-440 using the e-mail at PERS-

4. Officer Community Managers will review applicants for release based on
their community health and needs. PERS-443 will review all PMP applicants to
ensure eligibility guidelines have been met prior to releasing the applicant
to the board.
