RMKS/1.  I am pleased to announce the selection of HM1(IDW) Jessica L. 
Wentlent as the 2015 Naval Shore Activities Sailor of the Year.

2.  HM1(IDW) Jessica L. Wentlent was nominated by the Chief, Bureau of 
Medicine, and selected from a field of 26 nominations representing some of 
the finest Petty Officers currently serving ashore.  Congratulations to her 
and the other four exceptional
finalists:
    a.  HM1(FMF) Mark A. Francesco representing Commander, Navy Installations 
Command
    b.  CE1(SCW) Richard G. Simbre representing Commander, Naval Facilities 
Engineering Command
    c.  MA1(IDW) Jonathon T. Walter representing Director, Strategic Systems 
Programs
    d.  LS1(SW) Justin M. Wright representing Commander, Naval Supply Systems 
Command

3.  The competition was robust and reflected the high caliber of Sailors 
serving at shore activities throughout the world.  All of the finalists 
represented their commands and the entire enlisted community with 
distinction.

4.  Petty Officer Wentlent will next compete during the 2015 Navy Shore 
Sailor of the Year competition later this month.
