SUBJ/2015 NAVY SHORE SAILOR OF THE YEAR//

RMKS/1.  I am pleased to announce the selection of HM1(IDW) Jessica L. 
Wentlent as the 2015 Navy Shore Sailor of the Year.

2.  Petty Officer Wentlent was the Naval Shore Activities Sailor of the Year, 
nominated by the Chief, Bureau of Medicine and Surgery, and was selected from 
a field of five outstanding finalists representing the finest Petty Officers 
serving ashore. Congratulations to her and the other finalists:
    a.  CTR1(IDW/SW) Stephen A. Comstock, representing Manpower, Personnel, 
Training and Education
    b.  ND1(DSW/SW/SG) Kristopher R. Ilagan, representing the U.S. Pacific 
Fleet
    c.  AWR1(NAC/AW) Brian P. McGarrigle, representing U.S. Fleet Forces 
Command
    d.  LN1(IDW) Stephani J. Pavoni, representing U.S. Naval Forces 
Europe/Africa

3.  The competition was robust and reflected the high caliber of Sailors 
serving ashore throughout the world.  Each of the finalists represented their 
commands and the entire Enlisted community with distinction.

4.  Petty Officer Wentlent will be meritoriously advanced to Chief Petty 
Officer in May 2016.
