NATIONAL HARBOR, MD THE NLUS WILL HOLD ITS ANNUAL SEA-AIR-SPACE EXPOSITIONS. 
THIS YEAR'S THEME MARITIME CROSSROADS: STRATEGIES FOR ACTION WAS SELECTED TO 
FOCUS ON THE CHANGING ENVIRONMENT FOR ALL NAVAL WARFIGHTERS.

2. I ENCOURAGE YOU TO PARTICIPATE AND TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE SEA-AIR-SPACE 
EXPOSITION BECAUSE IT PROVIDES ARMED FORCES-WIDE DISCUSSIONS ACROSS A BROAD 
RANGE OF INNOVATIVE TOPICS REGARDING TODAY'S ISSUES AND TOMORROW'S MARITIME 
CHALLENGES. SEA-AIR-SPACE PROVIDES A MUCH NEEDED PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT 
PLATFORM FOR EDUCATING SAILORS OF ALL RANKS ON THE LATEST DEVELOPMENTS IN 
NAVAL WARFARE. CONFIRMED SPEAKERS INCLUDE, SECRETARY OF THE NAVY (SECNAV), 
CHIEF OF NAVAL OPERATIONS (CNO), VICE CHIEF OF NAVAL OPERATIONS (VCNO), 
COMMANDANT OF THE MARINE CORPS (CMC), VICE COMMANDANT OF THE COAST GUARD (G-
CV), DEPUTY COMMANDANT OF THE MARINE CORPS FOR PLANS, POLICIES, AND OPERATIONS 
(DCMC PP&O) AND MANY OTHER SENIOR OFFICERS AND ENLISTED SPEAKERS.

3. PER REF B, DON ATTENDANCE AT SEA-AIR-SPACE EXPOSITION HAS BEEN APPROVED 
SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING:
A. ATTENDANCE IS AUTHORIZED ONLY AT NO COST TO THE GOVERNMENT.
B. PERSONNEL ATTENDING SEA-AIR-SPACE IN A TAD STATUS HAVE BEEN PREVIOUSLY 
IDENTIFIED BY DIRECTOR NAVY STAFF.
(1). RENTAL CARS ARE NOT AUTHORIZED.
(2). LODGING AND MEALS WILL BE REIMBURSED TO ATTENDEES IN A TAD STATUS ONLY AT 
THE AUTHORIZED PER DIEM RATE.
C. THE CONFERENCE HOST IS PROVIDING FREE SHUTTLE SERVICES FOR ATTENDEES AND 
VALIDATED PARKING FOR SPEAKERS AND INVITED GUESTS. REIMBURSEMENT FOR PARKING 
AT THE CONFERENCE SITE IS NOT AUTHORIZED.
D. PER REF D, WAG DETERMINATION IS NOT NECESSARY FOR THE FOLLOWING EVENTS:
(1) OPENING CEREMONY, PLENARY SESSIONS
(2) SEA SERVICES LUNCHEON

4. THE SEAPOWER MAGAZINE RECEPTION AND INTERNATIONAL MARITIME RECEPTION 
QUALIFY AS WAG EVENTS AND INDIVIDUALS MAY ATTEND EITHER OR BOTH RECEPTIONS IN 
THEIR PERSONAL CAPACITY AND ACCEPT FREE ATTENDANCE IF OFFERED BY THE SPONSOR 
ONLY AFTER OBTAINING A DETERMINATION FROM THEIR SUPERVISOR AND ETHICS 
COUNSELOR THAT ATTENDANCE IS IN THE INTEREST OF THE DON.

YARD, OFFICE OF NAVAL RESEARCH/ARLINGTON, NAVAL RESEARCH LABORATORY/JOINT BASE 
ANACOSTIA-BOLLING, CRYSTAL CITY, JOINT BASE ANDREWS/OFFICE OF NAVAL 
INTELLIGENCE, AND COAST GUARD HEADQUARTERS. TRANSPORTATION WILL ALSO BE 
AVAILABLE FROM PAX RIVER, NAVAL AIR STATION OCEANA, NAVAL STATION NORFOLK, 
JOINT EXPEDITIONARY BASE LITTLE CREEK-FORT STORY, QUANTICO, MECHANICSBURG AND
