RMKS/1. THIS NAVADMIN ANNOUNCES THE FY09-2 TEST PILOT SCHOOLS
SELECTION BOARD (BOARD #380), SCHEDULED TO CONVENE 21 JULY 2009. THIS
BOARD WILL SELECT HIGHLY QUALIFIED NAVAL AVIATORS AND NAVAL FLIGHT
OFFICERS FOR THE U.S. NAVAL TEST PILOT SCHOOL (USNTPS), THE NAVAL
POSTGRADUATE SCHOOL/U.S. NAVAL TEST PILOT SCHOOL (NSTPS) COOPERATIVE
PROGRAM, THE U.S. AIR FORCE TEST PILOT SCHOOL (USAFTPS), AND THE
BRITISH EMPIRE TEST PILOT SCHOOL (ETPS).
2. TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR BOARD CONSIDERATION, A COMPLETE APPLICATION
LETTER, AS DESCRIBED IN REF A, AND A COMMAND ENDORSEMENT, MUST BE
RECEIVED AT THE NAVY PERSONNEL COMMAND(NPC) CUSTOMER SERVICE CENTER
(CSC) NOT LATER THAN 19 JUNE 2009. THE ENDORSEMENT SHOULD CONSIDER
WHETHER THE APPLICANT, IF SELECTED, IS AVAILABLE TO REPORT FOR INITIAL
TRAINING AS EARLY AS OCTOBER 2009. THE SERVICE MEMBER'S EMAIL
ADDRESS(ES), PHONE NUMBER(S), COLLEGE TRANSCRIPTS AND POST-TPS TEST
SQUADRON ASSIGNMENT PREFERENCE MUST BE INCLUDED IN THE APPLICATION AND
ALSO RECEIVED BY 19 JUNE 2009.

5. ELIGIBILITY:
A. DESIGNATED NAVAL AVIATORS AND NAVAL FLIGHT OFFICERS THROUGH THE
GRADE OF LIEUTENANT COMMANDER MAY BE CONSIDERED.
B. UNRESTRICTED LINE (13XX) AVIATORS SHOULD BE DUE COURSE JUNIOR
OFFICERS (O-2 OR O-3) WITH FORECASTED TIMING TO COMPLETE THE SELECTED
TPS PROGRAM AND A FOLLOW-ON 24-MONTH TEST TOUR PRIOR TO RETURNING TO
SQUADRON DEPARTMENT HEAD TOUR. INTERESTED CANDIDATES SHOULD CONSULT
THEIR COMMUNITY ASSIGNMENTS OFFICER TO CONFIRM CAREER TIMING.
C. AEROSPACE ENGINEERING DUTY OFFICERS (AEDO) (1510) THROUGH THE
GRADE OF LIEUTENANT COMMANDER ARE ELIGIBLE TO APPLY IF ABLE TO SERVE A
MINIMUM 24-MONTH FLIGHT TEST TOUR FOLLOWING TPS WHILE MEETING AEDO
CAREER MILESTONES. INTERESTED AEDOS SHOULD CONTACT THE AEDO
ASSIGNMENTS OFFICER TO CONFIRM CAREER TIMING.
