TWO YEARS OF GRADUATE STUDY USING A FOREIGN LANGUAGE WHILE EXPERIENCING 
OVERSEAS CULTURAL AND TRAVEL OPPORTUNITIES.
THIS UNIQUE SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY SUPPORTS THE SECRETARY OF DEFENSE'S 
EMPHASIS ON DEVELOPING LANGUAGE SKILLS AND REGIONAL AND CULTURAL 
KNOWLEDGE ACROSS THE FORCE.

3.  PER REF A, FY-12 OLMSTED SCHOLAR PROGRAM SELECTEES SHOULD BE 
AVAILABLE TO COMMENCE LANGUAGE TRAINING IN THE SUMMER/FALL OF 2011, 
BEGIN STUDY AT A FOREIGN UNIVERSITY IN 2012, AND COMPLETE THEIR STUDY IN 
2014.
