RMKS/1.  THIS NAVADMIN ANNOUNCES THE U.S. NAVAL TEST PILOT SCHOOL 
SELECTION BOARD SCHEDULED TO CONVENE 22 JULY 2008.  SPECIFIC DETAILS 
ARE DESCRIBED IN REF A.  THIS BOARD WILL SELECT HIGHLY QUALIFIED NAVAL 
AVIATORS AND NAVAL FLIGHT OFFICERS FOR THE U.S. NAVAL TEST PILOT SCHOOL 
(USNTPS), THE AIR FORCE INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY/ U.S. NAVAL TEST PILOT 
SCHOOL (AFIT/USNTPS) COOPERATIVE PROGRAM (COOP), THE U.S. AIR FORCE 
TEST PILOT SCHOOL (USAFTPS), THE BRITISH EMPIRE TEST PILOT SCHOOL 
(ETPS), AND EPNER TEST PILOT SCHOOL AT ISTRES, FRANCE.
2.  TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR BOARD CONSIDERATION, A COMPLETE APPLICATION 
LETTER AND COMMAND ENDORSEMENT MUST BE RECEIVED AT THE NPC CUSTOMER 
SERVICE CENTER (CSC) NOT LATER THAN 30 JUNE 2008.  THE ENDORSEMENT 
SHOULD CONSIDER WHETHER THE APPLICANT, IF SELECTED, IS AVAILABLE TO 
REPORT FOR INITIAL TRAINING AS EARLY AS OCTOBER 2008.  THE SERVICE 
MEMBER?S EMAIL ADDRESS(ES), PHONE NUMBER(S), COLLEGE TRANSCRIPTS AND 
POST-TPS TEST SQUADRON ASSIGNMENT PREFERENCE MUST BE INCLUDED IN THE 
APPLICATION AND ALSO RECEIVED BY 30 JUNE 2008.

5.  ELIGIBILITY:
    A.  UNRESTRICTED LINE (13XX) AVIATORS SHOULD BE DUE COURSE JUNIOR 
OFFICERS (0-2 OR 0-3) WITH FORECASTED TIMING TO COMPLETE THE SELECTED 
TPS PROGRAM, A MINIMUM 24-MONTH TEST TOUR AND RETURN FOR SQUADRON DEPT 
HEAD TOUR NOT LATER THAN SCREEN GROUP PLUS ELEVEN YEARS.  
    B.  AEROSPACE ENGINEERING DUTY OFFICER (1510) AVIATORS, THROUGH THE 
GRADE OF LIEUTENANT COMMANDER, ARE ELIGIBLE TO APPLY IF ABLE TO MEET 
CAREER MILESTONES AND ABLE TO SERVE A MINIMUM 24-MONTH FLIGHT TEST TOUR 
PRIOR TO FORECASTED IN-ZONE ELIGIBILITY FOR PROMOTION TO COMMANDER.
