OF TASKING RANGING FROM HUMANITARIAN ASSISTANCE AND DISASTER RELIEF IN
THE REPUBLIC OF THE PHILLIPINES TO OPERATIONAL TASKING IN SUPPORT OF
OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM AND SEVENTH FLEET MARITIME SECURITY. TO
ACCOMPLISH THIS MULTITUDE OF TASKINGS, USS CHANCELLORSVILLE CONDUCTED
677 DAY LANDINGS, 710 NIGHT LANDINGS, TRANSFERRED 172 PASSENGERS, AND
COMPLETED 147 TASKED OPERATIONAL FLIGHTS WITHOUT INCIDENT. USS
CHANCELLORSVILLE ALSO SHARED THEIR KNOWLEDGE WITH THE FLEET THROUGH THE
SUBMISSION OF NUMEROUS HAZARD REPORTS, LESSONS LEARNED, AND SAFETY
RELATED ARTICLES FOR PUBLICATION.
3. USS DENVER MAINTAINED AN OUTSTANDING AVIATION SAFETY RECORD WHILE
CONDUCTING MORE THAN 304 MISHAP-FREE FLIGHT HOURS WHILE FORWARD
DEPLOYED IN THE SEVENTH FLEET AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY. DURING CALENDAR
YEAR 2008, USS DENVER CONDUCTED 1,163 DAY LANDINGS, 240 NIGHT LANDINGS,
TRANSFERRED 1,013 PASSENGERS, AND TRANSFERRED 372 TONS OF CARGO. USS
DENVER ALSO HEIGHTENED FLEET AWARENESS THROUGH THE SUBMISSION OF
LESSONS LEARNED AND SAFETY RELATED ARTICLES.
