RMKS/1.  This NAVADMIN announces availability of the Criminal Investigator 
Apprenticeship Trade, a new apprenticeship trade created by the Center for 
Security Forces and approved by the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) in the 
United Services Military Apprenticeship Program (USMAP). 

2.  Per ref (a), Sailors responsible for securing crime scenes and conducting 
crime scene analysis; collecting, analyzing, processing and storing evidence, 
responding to crimes, conducting interviews and interrogations; managing and 
utilizing confidential informants; completing applicable forms; testing for 
suspected narcotics; submitting evidence for forensic tests; conducting 
surveillance and counter surveillance operations; conducting plain clothes 
operations; planning and performing investigative raids; utilizing weapons 
and equipment; storing investigative forms, notes, and reports; working with 
other agencies; and operating emergency vehicles, can earn a certification as 
a Criminal Investigator upon completion of the Criminal Investigator 
Apprenticeship Trade.
