RMKS/1. THIS NAVADMIN ANNOUNCES THE CONVENING OF THE ACTIVE AND RESERVE
CAREER RECRUITER FORCE (CRF) SELECTION BOARDS. CRF WAS ESTABLISHED IN 1978 TO
DEVELOP A CADRE OF EXCEPTIONAL RECRUITING MANAGERS TO PROVIDE CONSISTENCY AND
LEADERSHIP TO THE RECRUITING EFFORT. THE CRF PROGRAM IS MADE UP OF PROVEN,
VOLUNTEER RECRUITERS WHO FILL KEY MIDDLE MANAGEMENT BILLETS. THE SELECTION
CRITERIA FOCUSES ON PROVEN RECRUITING PERFORMANCE WITH AN EMPHASIS ON FFECTIVE
LEADERSHIP, MANAGEMENT, COUNSELING AND TRAINING ABILITIES.
2. THE CRF PROGRAM IS OPEN TO PERSONNEL WHO ARE CURRENTLY ASSIGNED OR HAVE
SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED A TOUR IN RECRUITING DUTY WITH NEC CODES 9585, 9586 OR
9587. FURTHER ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA AND APPLICATION PROCEDURES ARE OUTLINED IN
REF A.
3. THE CONVENING DATES FOR THE NEXT FOUR SELECTION BOARDS ARE AS FOLLOWS:
A. 1 NOVEMBER 2012
B. 7 FEBRUARY 2013
C. 16 MAY 2013
D. 6 AUGUST 2013
4. ALL APPLICATIONS ARE REQUIRED TO BE RECEIVED NO LATER THAN THREE WEEKS

6. SELECTEES CURRENTLY ON RECRUITING DUTY WILL BE CONVERTED IMMEDIATELY TO
NAVY COUNSELOR (RECRUITER) (NEC-2186). SELECTEES NOT ON RECRUITING DUTY WILL
BE IMMEDIATELY ASSIGNED TEMPORARY NEC 2199.
FLEET PERSONNEL SELECTED WILL TAKE CURRENT RATING NAVY-WIDE ADVANCEMENT
EXAMINATION UNTIL SUCCESSFULLY GRADUATING FROM THE CRF ACADEMY. ALL SELECTEES
WILL ATTEND THE CRF ACADEMY IN PENSACOLA, FL IN CONJUNCTION WITH PERMANENT
CHANGE OF STATION ORDERS AT THEIR CURRENT PROJECTED ROTATION DATE.
