RMKS/1. THIS NAVADMIN ANNOUNCES THE IMPLEMENTATION OF COMPUTER- BASED
ENROLLMENT IN THE NAVY EXCEPTIONAL FAMILY MEMBER PROGRAM (EFMP) VIA NAVY'S
FAMILY ACCOUNTABILITY AND ASSESSMENT SYSTEM (NFAAS).
2. THE NAVY FAMILY ACCOUNTABILITY AND ASSESSMENT SYSTEM (NFAAS) EXCEPTIONAL
FAMILY MEMBER (EFM) MODULE PHASE I WAS RELEASED ON 31 AUGUST 2011. PHASE I
CAPABILITY ESTABLISHED AN ELECTRONIC WORKFLOW PROCESS TO EXPEDITE THE
SUBMISSION, REVIEW, AND FINAL DESIGNATION OF ENROLLMENT FORMS FOR NEW EFM
ENROLLEES, REPLACING THE NAVY'S LEGACY PAPER-BASED ENROLLMENT SYSTEM. IN
ADDITION, PHASE I CASE MANAGEMENT CAPABILITIES FACILITATE NON-CLINICAL FAMILY
SUPPORT BY ENABLING CASE LIAISONS TO ELECTRONICALLY TRACK INFORMATION AND
REFERRAL REQUESTS, AND DEVELOP AND MANAGE INDIVIDUALIZED SERVICE PLANS FOR NEW
ENROLLEES.
3. EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY, MILITARY TREATMENT FACILITY EFM COORDINATORS,
CENTRAL SCREENING COMMITTEES, EFM SPONSORS AND FAMILY MEMBERS SHALL USE NFAAS
TO SUBMIT AND TRACK NEW EFM ENROLLMENTS.
EFM CASE LIAISONS SHALL ALSO TRACK NEW ENROLLMENTS AND DOCUMENT NON- CLINICAL
FAMILY SUPPORT SERVICES PROVIDED TO NEW ENROLLEES IN NFAAS.

HTTPS://NAVYFAMILY.NAVY.MIL/. THE NFAAS NAVY FAMILY MEMBER'S USERS GUIDE IS
AVAILABLE ON THE NFAAS WEBSITE, AFTER LOGIN, VIA THE HELP TAB. NAVY EFM
PROGRAM INFORMATION IS AVAILABLE ONLINE AT THE NPC EFM PROGRAM WEBSITE,
