AUTHORITY, INCLUDING MOBILIZATION, WILL COMPETE FOR ADVANCEMENT AS

    A.  THE FY-11 SELRES/FTS E7 ADVANCEMENT BOARD WILL CONVENE
17 MAY 2010.
    B.  COMMUNICATION WITH SELECTION BOARD.  IT IS IMPERATIVE AND A 
DUAL RESPONSIBILITY OF BOTH THE CANDIDATE AND COMMAND TO ENSURE ALL 
PERSONNEL RECORDS ARE CURRENT AND ACCURATE FOR EACH CANDIDATE'S 
ACCOMPLISHMENTS TO BE CONSIDERED.  SELECTION BOARD PACKAGES ARE FOR THE 
PURPOSE OF PROVIDING CANDIDATES THE OPPORTUNITY TO PROVIDE ANY MISSING 
DOCUMENTS FROM THE SECTIONS OF THEIR RECORDS WHICH ARE VIEWED BY THE 
SELECTION BOARDS.  MILPERSMAN 1070-080 SPECIFIES WHICH DOCUMENTS FROM 
THE ENLISTED PERMANENT PERSONNEL RECORD ARE PROVIDED TO THE SELECTION 
BOARDS FOR REVIEW.  CANDIDATES ARE ENCOURAGED TO REQUEST A COPY OF 
THEIR ENLISTED PERMANENT PERSONNEL RECORD AS OUTLINED IN MILPERSMAN 
1070-150 AND VERIFY COMPLETENESS.  ANY DOCUMENTS THE MEMBER HAS 
VERIFIED AS MISSING FROM THOSE SECTIONS OF THEIR PERMANENT PERSONNEL 
RECORD MAY BE SUBMITTED AS A SELECTION BOARD PACKAGE.
        (1) CORRESPONDENCE PACKAGE MUST BE POSTMARKED NOT LATER THAN
19 APRIL 2010.  CONTACT INFORMATION FOR SELECTION BOARD CORRESPONDENCE 
PACKAGES RECEIVED IS (866) 827-5672.
        (2) NO THIRD PARTY CORRESPONDENCE WILL BE ACCEPTED.
        (3) ALL CORRESPONDENCE SHOULD BE ON PLAIN WHITE PAPER AND PAPER 
CLIPPED (NO STAPLES, BINDERS, FOLDERS, OR TABS), AND SUBMITTED UNDER 
COVER LETTER TO THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD.  DO NOT HIGHLIGHT ENTRIES 
SINCE THOSE ENTRIES WILL BE UNREADABLE ONCE SCANNED.  EACH CANDIDATE 
MUST VERIFY THE CORRECT SUBJECT LINE AND BOARD NUMBER (SEE
BELOW) IS ON THEIR COVER LETTER TO ENSURE THEIR PACKAGE APPEARS BEFORE 
THE PROPER BOARD.
        (4) THE CANDIDATE'S FULL NAME AND FULL SSN MUST BE AFFIXED AND 
LEGIBLE ON ALL DOCUMENTS SUBMITTED.

1430.16F.  ALL MESSAGES TO THE BOARD MUST BE RECEIVED BY THE BOARD 
CONVENING DATE.  HOWEVER, REMOVING ELIGIBILITY FOR BOARD CONSIDERATION 
THROUGH ADVANCEMENT EXAM INVALIDATION OR WITHDRAWAL OF ADVANCEMENT 
RECOMMENDATION CAN BE COMMUNICATED BY COMMANDS TO PERS-812 AND NETPDTC
