RMKS/1.  THIS NAVADMIN ANNOUNCES THE CHIEF OF NAVAL OPERATIONS (CNO) 
TWELFTH SEMI-ANNUAL FLEET DIVERSITY COUNCIL TO BE HELD WEDNESDAY,
3 NOVEMBER 2010 IN NORFOLK, VA.  ONE SESSION, JOINTLY HOSTED BY OPNAV 
N134 (DIVERSITY DIRECTORATE) AND U.S. FLEET FORCES COMMAND, WILL BE HELD 
FROM 0810-1120 AT THE NAVAL AIR STATION OCEANA BASE THEATER.

2.  THE PURPOSE OF THE FLEET DIVERSITY COUNCIL IS TO EDUCATE SAILORS, 
OFFICERS AND CIVILIANS ON THE VALUE OF LEVERAGING DIVERSITY AND 
INCLUSION TO ACHIEVE MISSION SUCCESS.  FLAG OFFICER OPENING REMARKS WILL 
BE FOLLOWED BY WORLD-RENOWNED KEYNOTE SPEAKER, DR. SAMUEL BETANCES 
(WWW.BETANCES.COM).

3.  COUNCIL ATTENDANCE IS HIGHLY ENCOURAGED FOR ALL NAVY PERSONNEL, FROM 
ALL RANKS, RATES, GS LEVELS, AND BACKGROUNDS AND SPECIFICALLY TARGETS 
PARTICIPATION FROM NAVAL STATION NORFOLK, NAS OCEANA, NAVAL MEDICAL 
CENTER PORTSMOUTH, NAVAL AMPHIBIOUS BASE LITTLE CREEK AND NORFOLK NAVAL 
SHIPYARD.  COMMAND-FUNDED TRAVEL FROM OTHER AREAS IS AUTHORIZED.  
COMMAND-MANAGED EQUAL OPPORTUNITY OFFICERS AND EQUAL OPPORTUNITY 
ADVISORS ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND.  MAXIMUM CAPACITY FOR THE 
OCEANA THEATER IS 927.
