RMKS/1. THIS NAVADMIN CONTINUES THE AUTHORITY GRANTED IN REFS A THROUGH G AND
PROVIDES CONTINUATION OF REFS H THROUGH M FOR FY-13.
ADDITIONALLY, THE OPTOMETRY SPECIAL PAY SHALL ALSO REMAIN IN EFFECT FOR FY-13.
FOR FY-13, REFERENCES A THROUGH M REMAIN UNCHANGED EXCEPT FOR THE FOLLOWING:
A. NO NEW INCENTIVE SPECIAL PAY CONTRACTS SHALL BE ENTERED INTO FOR NURSE
CORPS OFFICERS WITH THE SUBSPECIALTY CODE OF OB/GYN NURSE PRACTICIONER (1980).
B. THERE IS NO LONGER A WAIVER OPPORTUNITY FOR THE RN-INCENTIVE SPECIAL
PAY (ISP). MEMBER'S MUST FULFILL THE OBLIGATION FOR THE RN-ISP FULL TIME IN
THE SPECIALTY FOR WHICH IT IS BEING PAID, UNLESS INVOLUNTARILEY SEPARATED OR
DISCHARGED.
C. MEDICAL CORPS (MC) AND DENTAL CORPS (DC) MULTI-YEAR SPECIAL PAY (MSP)
AND ISP REQUESTS MUST BE ROUTED THROUGH THE PRIVILEGING AUTHORITY FOR
ENDORSEMENT. WAIVERS FOR MC AND DC MSP, ISP, AND DENTAL OFFICER MULTI-YEAR
RETENTION BONUS, WHERE APPLICABLE, MUST BE ENDORSED BY THE RESPECTIVE CORPS
CHIEF AND APPROVED BY BUMED (M1).
