RMKS/1. REF A ESTABLISHES THE CHIEF OF CHAPLAINS AS PROGRAM SPONSOR FOR
THE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OF CHAPLAIN CORPS OFFICERS AND RELIGIOUS
PROGRAM SPECIALISTS (RP). THE CHIEF OF CHAPLAINS CONDUCTS AN ANNUAL
SYMPOSIUM FOR SENIOR CHAPLAIN CORPS OFFICERS (O-6) AND RP'S
(E-9) TO UPDATE ESSENTIAL TECHNIQUES AND PRACTICES IN MILITARY MINISTRY.
2. THE FY07 CHAPLAIN CORPS STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP SYMPOSIUM, DRAWING ON
THE PAST PLANNING FOR THE FUTURE WILL EQUIP CHAPLAIN CORPS SENIOR
LEADERSHIP WITH THE KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS NECESSARY FOR THE EXECUTION OF
THE CHAPLAIN CORPS CONCEPT OF OPERATIONS IN ITS STRATEGIC PLAN.
3. THE SYMPOSIUM WILL BE HELD 12-14 FEB 2007 (TRAVEL DATES 11 & 15
FEB) AT THE HILTON SAN ANTONIO AIRPORT, 611 NW LOOP 410, SAN ANTONIO TX.
IN ORDER TO RECEIVE THE GOVERNMENT PER DIEM RATE OF $103 FOR A SINGLE
ROOM, ATTENDEES MUST ADVISE THE RESERVATION CLERK OF PARTICIPATION IN
CHIEF OF NAVY CHAPLAINS SLS. HOTEL RESERVATIONS MUST BE MADE NO LATER
THAN 14 JANUARY 2007 TO GUARANTEE THE GOVERNMENT RATE. CANCELLATIONS
MUST BE 72 HOURS PRIOR TO ARRIVAL DATE. COMPLIMENTARY 24 HOUR HOTEL
SHUTTLE TO AND FROM THE AIRPORT
(2.5 MILES) WILL BE PROVIDED. CAR RENTAL IS OPTIONAL DUE TO PROXIMITY.
4. UNIFORM WILL BE KHAKIS OR SERVICE EQUIVALENT.
5. THE CONFERENCE WILL BEGIN MONDAY MORNING, 12 FEBRUARY AND CONCLUDE
WEDNESDAY, 14 FEBRUARY AT 1600. REGISTRATION WILL BEGIN ON SUNDAY, 11
FEBRUARY FROM 1600 TO 1900.
